Extract from my photographic diary Yvette Studio..." Paris,  January, 2009... Dined yesterday evening with my exotic neighbour, born in the suburbs of Manila. Roberta served me a delicious Filipino curry. Our first encounter was rather strange... Visiting France in the late eighties to meet a distant cousin, she fell in love with Paris. After a brief marriage, the brunette rented a maid room close to my workshop. And when my mother, seduced by her smile,  suggested to the young woman to come and help her in her little Parisian stationery near the Notre Dame Cathedral, Roberta and I became friends... So close that I often surprised her by slipping into a photograph an object* that belonged to her... For instance, like here (left),  her first childhood doll... Buddha bless you!   "Curry philippin sous les toits de Paris...Un vrai régal!  Hier, diné avec  Roberta, mon exotique voisine de palier. Philippine  née dans les faubourgs de Manille, elle avait mijoté un délicieux curry. Ma rencontre avec Roberta date d'il y a quelques années. Venue en France  rejoindre un lointain cousin, la brunette vécut d'abord à Montrouge puis au terme d'un bref mariage, elle loua la chambre de bonne contiguë à mon studio. Ma mère, séduite par sa bonne humeur, l'engagea comme vendeuse  dans sa petite papeterie  de Notre Dame et c'est alors que nous sommes devenus amis. Si complices qu'il m'est  même arrivé  de me servir pour mes photos d'objets* appartenant à Roberta. Comme ici (ci-dessus) sa première poupée... Bouddha vous bénisse!
